There’s a face

beneath the boards

I can’t tell if this is

a demon or ghost

but it scares me

the most.

There’s a face beneath

the boards

i’m terrified but,

all I can do is pray

to the lord.

The smile is haunting

and its presence is daunting

wherever I go

it’s sure to see

It could want anything;

Attention, friends,

or a new body.
